Hello Everyone ☺,
Today, I am going to show you a DIY Olive Oil- Sugar Body Scrub. This scrub exfoliates all dead skin cells by making the skin satin soft and smooth; and is great for the winters. This body scrub is super easy to make and just requires four ingredients.
Body scrubs are great! They leave skin feeling fresh, smooth, healthy and glowing by exfoliating off dead skin cells. However, sometimes you just don’t have the money or time to buy one or just don’t have one on hand to use when you need a good scrub. No worries….you can make your own body scrub using these ingredients (mentioned below) that you most likely already have stashed in your kitchen pantry.
Below is a simple and yet amazing body scrub recipe that I love using….enjoy! ☺
Note : Just remember the consistency of your scrub should be not too oily/runny but it also shouldn’t be dry/crumbly…you want to find that “happy medium” between the two. Also, you can always adjust any of these ingredients to better suit your needs and preferences. If your scrub is too oily/runny just add some more sugar or salt. If your scrub is too dry, add some more oil.
Benefits of this Body Scrub :
- Exfoliates all dead skin cells.
- Heals dry skin.
- Removes pigmentation.
- Tones and softens skin.
- Moisturizes and smoothens skin.
The Things You Would Require :
Clean bowl = 1 large size
Tablespoon = 1
Clean glass / plastic jar or container = 1 small size
Ingredients :
Extra virgin olive oil = 3 tablespoons
Sugar (White) = ½ cup
Honey = 2 tablespoons
Vitamin E = 1 capsule
Method :
First, take ½ cup of sugar in a clean bowl.
Then, pour 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and 2 tablespoons of honey into the bowl.
Cut the Vitamin E capsule with a clean pair of scissors; and pour the extract into the bowl.
Now, mix all these ingredients well to form a scrub- like consistency.
Application :
- Splash some water onto the skin by making it slightly wet.
- Now, apply the scrub on your body skin and massage it properly for 1- 2 minutes.
- Rinse.
Riyanka’s Verdict :
For better results, this should be done daily or on alternate days throughout the winter season or for the whole year to exfoliate all dead skin cells.
And, enjoy a satin soft, smooth, and supple skin. ☺ ☺ ☺
Recommendations :
I would recommend this body scrub to all types of skin.
Sensitive skin people: Kindly do a skin patch test before using this scrub on larger parts of your skin.
