PARAMPARA | Peach & Honey Moisturizer [ PRODUCT REVIEW ]

Today,  I  am going to review about  Parampara  –  Peach & Honey  Moisturizer . This moisturizer is a product of a Kolkata based brand PARAMPARA  AYURVED, which was started by Ayurvedacharya  Dr.  Debabrata  Sen.

About the Brand and the Owner :

Ayurvedacharya  Dr.  Debabrata  Sen has worked and healed in the West Bengal, India for years. After graduation from the Ayurvedic College of Medicine in 1999, he entered into an intensive training with his father; the renowned Vaidya Ayurved Tirtha Dr. N. C. Sen. He received extra training in the family specialty of Ayurvedic dermatology & internal diseases.

In the early 2000s, Ayurvedacharya Dr. Debabrata Sen expanded his dermatological work by researching ayurvedic transdermal applications with allopathic medical practitioners. His extensive public appearances on national radio and TV shows as well as numerous publications led to growing fame and repeated invitations from many country. He has further refined his transdermal formulations by developing anti-aging ayurvedic cosmoceuticals. These transdermals have met with great success and are free of chemicals. He has also developed a line of transdermal rasayanas, ayurvedic herbal formulations prepared according to specific and temporal guidelines, completely free of any chemical products, which aim at restoring balance in the body as well as the mind and the Soul. Dr. Debabrata Sen has formulated two lines of products under the brand PARAMPARA AYURVED, which comprises of :

1. Ayurvedic medicines for chronic diseases, skin problems, hair problems, anti-aging treatment, slimming, stress tension - anxiety relief, sleep disorder problems, gastro- intestinal problems, arthritis and pain related problems, and many more.
2. Ayurvedic cosmetics for skin problems, hair problems, and anti-aging treatment.

Product Claims :

This wonderful Moisturizer is enriched with Peach extracts that contain flavonoids & natural vitamins that lighten the skin cells and help in revitalizing and hydrating the epidermis skin layer. Wild Honey extracts act as skin catalysts & help in healing acne, scars, wrinkles and even severely dry or patchy skin. Regular usage of this moisturizer provides essential nutrients to maintain skin's pH balance to ensure a healthy & glowing radiance.

Apply over cleansed face, neck & other body parts to replenish moisture and maintain healthy skin.

Product Compositions :

Key Ingredients: Peach Extracts, Honey, Coconut Oil, Daruharidra, and Glycerine.

Other Ingredients: Light Liquid Paraffin, Stearic Acid, Emulsifying Wax, DMDM Hydantoin, Lotion Base, Fragrance, Permitted Colour, Purified Water.

My Experience :

This moisturizer comes in a glossy white coloured tube packaging with a flip-top cover which makes it spill-proof, hygienic and travel-friendly. One tube pack would last about 2 months, if used twice daily. The colour of the moisturizer is light peach; and the fragrance is sweet and pleasant. The moisturizer has a honey-peachy smell, which is mild and not so over-powering; and it has an ability to relax your mood. The consistency of the moisturizer is not-so-thick neither not-so-thin; it has a perfect consistency. It just requires a pea-size amount to moisturize the whole face and neck. The moisturizer is non-sticky and blends into the skin quite easily, without making it greasy.

I have bought this moisturizer from a drug store and got a free pack of the moisturizer with it in the Winter Sale Offer (since the brand or company was providing a combo offer of ‘Buy 1 Get 1 Free’). PARAMPARA AYURVED provides free offers quite frequently. I have already emptied one pack that lasted me about 2 months of regular usage and I am already started using the second pack which I got as a free gift. And then I thought of writing the review for the same, so that I could share my experience with you all.

Now, I will come to whether the brand has met with its product’s claims or not. Let’s check out..

1. Wonderful moisturizer = True.
2. Lighten the skin cells = True; but very slowly.
3. Help in revitalizing and hydrating the epidermis skin layer = True.
4. Help in healing acne and scars = True; but very slowly.
5. Help in healing wrinkles = Cannot make an opinion on this because I don’t suffer from aging skin problems, like - wrinkles.
6. Help in healing even severely dry or patchy skin = Cannot make an opinion on this because I don’t suffer from severe dry skin problems.
7. Maintains skin’s pH balance = True.
8. Ensures a healthy and glowing radiance = True; but very slowly.
   
   
   

Riyanka’s Verdict :
Regular usage (twice daily) of  Parampara – Peach & Honey  Moisturizer made my skin soft, smooth and supple. Though this moisturizer didn’t reduce the amount of acne on my face, but helped in healing the present acne and acne scars slowly and steadily. I also use this moisturizer as a night cream; when I wake up in the morning and wash my face with a mild face wash, my face becomes super soft (or baby soft). Parampara – Peach & Honey  Moisturizer moisturizes, hydrates and revitalizes the skin well. I just love this moisturizer; this made my skin soft, smooth and supple, and my skin glows naturally.  I am happy with the results. :) :) :)

Why I Like This Product ?

• Ayurvedic / herbal ingredients.
• Paraben free.
• Price is reasonable.
• Spill-proof, hygienic and travel-friendly packaging.
• The fragrance is sweet and pleasant. The smell is mild and not so over-powering.
• It has an ability to relax your mood.
• It has a perfect consistency.
• It does not require a lot of amount to moisturize the whole face and neck.
• Non-sticky formula.
• Blends into the skin quickly, without making it greasy.
• Free offers.
• This helped in healing my acne and acne scars slowly and steadily.
• This moisturizer hydrates, moisturizes and revitalizes the skin well.
• The skin becomes baby soft, smooth and supple; and the skin glows naturally.  

Why I don’t Like This Product ?

• This moisturizer didn’t reduce the amount of acne on my face.
• Availability is an issue; not available in all parts of  India. The moisturizer is available online (especially on its website) and some specific retail outlets based in Kolkata and some other parts of West Bengal only. But recently, few of its products are available on Flipkart India (online shopping app).

Recommendations :

According to the brand, Parampara – Peach & Honey Moisturizer is recommended for all types of skin. But I would recommend this moisturizer to normal, dry, oily, acne-prone and combination skin only.

Aging and severely dry skin people could give it a try or just simply skip this (Cannot make an opinion on this because I don’t suffer from aging and severe dry skin problems.)

Sensitive skin people : Kindly do a skin patch test before using this on larger parts of skin.

Will I Repurchase This Product ?

Of course, I will repurchase this moisturizer.
